Toyota announced today the unveiling of the 2011 Sienna minivan at the 2009 Los
Angeles Auto Show, Our spies have previously caught the model undergoing hot weather testing in the American desert. Unfortunately, the styling differences appear so subtle that it's
virtually impossible to determine what will differentiate the 2011 model from
the 2010 version.

With prices ranging from $24,540 for the CE grade in 7-seat and FWD
configuration to $37,865 for the Limited 7-seat version, the Sienna come
equipped with a single, 3.5l V6 engine. The unit develops 266 horsepower (200
kW) at 6,200 rpm and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. It is paired with a
5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission and has a 23 mpg fuel
consumption rating highway and 17 mpg city.

Based on a modified version of Camry platform, the new Sienna is expected to grow a few inches in length for improved passenger room and increased cargo capacity. The Camry underpinnings also mean the minivan will likely be powered by a 3.5-liter V6, with 268 hp and 246 lb-ft of torque, and possibly a hybridized 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 147 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque.

"Toyota will stage the world premiere of the all-new 2011 Sienna minivan at a
press conference at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show," Toyota said in a release.
