A total of four engines will be available, two each for petrol and diesel applications. The base petrol model features a 1.4-liter engine that produces 63 kW (85bhp) and offers a fuel consumption rating of 6.5L/100km (43.5mpg). Should that fail to peak your interest, a 1.6-liter petrol unit will also be offered and it cranks out 77 kW (105bhp) and averages 6.9L/100km (40.9mpg). On the diesel side there is a 1.4-liter engine with 59 kW (80bhp) that consumes fuel at a rate of 4.6L/100km (61.4mpg) as well as a 1.9-liter engine producing 77 kW (105bhp) that is rated at 4.9L/100km (57.7mpg).
The exterior wears Skoda's trademark grille and blackened A-pillars, this clever design trick helps to minimize their appearance by making them blend into the car's greenhouse giving the windscreen a wraparound look. However the biggest design aspect (and the one most likely to draw criticism) is the wagon's plastic body cladding. Skoda considers it to be a sign of ruggedness, but cheapness might be more correct. Despite that minor detail, the new model also features lightweight 16-inch ‘Arktos' alloy wheels, fog lights, and tinted windows.
Although the company failed to release pictures of the interior, Skoda says that it will offer Scout-specific upholstery, floor mats with the Scout logo and stainless steel pedals.
Look for the new Fabia Scout to start appearing in dealerships this May with prices expected to be announced closer to launch.

Mazda claims that in the end, a fully loaded 2010 Mazda3 s Grand Touring four-door will actually cost $240 less than it does now. We built a 2009 model with all of the above, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with home link for $26,275, including destination charge. That means a 2010 sticker of $26,035.
The Mazda3 i-stop and the Mazda3 MPS will also be on display at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Mazda3 s Sport starts at $19,540 with four doors, with the five-door going for $20,030. They get the bigger engine, automatic transmission, 17-inch alloys, and a "Multi-Information Display." The display is a black and white 4.1-inch screen giving out trip data, maintenance messages, system failure alerts, and even information from your MP3 player. Despite the bigger engine, it still gets the same 22/29 mpg as the current model.
Base Mazda3 i and s purchasers can also buy the Bose CD changer and moonroof, along with Centerpoint five-channel surround sound, amplifier, noise cancellation, and ten speakers. The price of the audio/moonroof package is $1,395, which seems like a lot of money for what you get.
Both Mazda3 s units have access to the Technology package. For $1,195 you get keyless entry, push-button ignition, a full-color screen, XM/Sirius satellite radio with six months of service, an alarm, a moonroof, and a six CD changer Bose audio system. It is unclear why a car that is marketed to a younger generation would still offer an expensive, center-console mounted six-CD changer, when they could shave $500 off the price by leaving out the soon-to-be phased out technology.
Also getting the 2.0-liter is the Mazda3 i Touring, a sedan with an automatic transmission, stability control, traction control, and Bluetooth. It gets 25 mpg in the city, and 33 mpg highway. Cost of the car, presumably before destination charge, is $18,350.
So what are you paying the extra money for? The entry-level engine is still a 2.0-liter DOHC four-cylinder producing 148 hp. Now, this engine has a 10% increase in fuel economy. However, the new engine is upgraded from a 156 hp 2.3-liter DOHC to the same 2.5-liter MZR found on the Mazda6. It produces 167 hp and 168 ft-lb of torque.
Mazda has released pricing info for the all-new 2010 Mazda3. The base version of the car comes with a manual transmission, and will have a price tag of $15,045, up $355 from the current model year. After a destination charge, this price should be more like $15,715.

We simply turn up and down on Koenigseggs press release, beginning with the most interesting: Quant! It is an entirely new "platform", a model that will expand the program beyond the model CCX and CCXR.
Koenigsegg do not want to tell you some details and pictures straight from the front reveals not so much. What we know is that since before Koenigsegg beset by persistent rumors that sketch out plans for a sports sedan. The car should be - according to rumors - have advanced lightweight chassis with carbon fiber and much room for four people. But Quant look, admittedly a bit too small for four, if not now picture angle fooled. We may give us a say, the Geneva-lounge opening on 2nd March, we further details.
The interior has been partially redesigned with the touch screen near the top in the middle and paddles on the steering wheel. The new transmission is a two-link mechanism that provides very rapid shifts of gears. CLICK FOR LARGE
A little more detailed Koenigsegg is on the new transmission to be offered to the CCX model. It is a double coupling box which is therefore capable of holding two kuggväxlar of interventions at the same time and switch rapidly, Koenigsegg stated that the parcel is 30 milliseconds. The box is also shorter and lighter than the previous transmission. Fluctuations with paddles mounted on the steering wheel, which is the optimal solution according to Koenigsegg.
The new double coupling box also contains an electronically controlled differential braking. Diffbromsen will give a slightly less brutal interference and make the car easier to drive on the limit.
Touch screen provides a simple navigation between the various functions. Here, the most regulated and the system is also designed so that you can add new features as needed.
A third news from Koenigsegg is a new multimedia system with touch screen. The system includes navigation, Bluetooth connectivity to mobile phones, climate control, music, iPod synchronization, and also able to follow the power, torque, lap times and other performance data. The new multimedia system is possible to upgrade by hand and can be programmed with new features. One of the new features is that you can see the mixture of the E85 fuel and how it affects the engine power.

BMW will soon present to the Geneva auto show its new Performance Power Kit for 135i and 335i models. The BMW 135i and 335i both feature 3.0-liter, twin-turbo in-line 6-cylinder engine that comes standard with a 306 HP and torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). The Power Performance Kit BMW boosts that up to 20 kW to 326 and take 450 Nm torque (332 lb-ft) on the automatic gearbox. Manual transmission only gets a bump up to 430 Nm (or 317 lb-ft of torque).
The kit is available for the following BMW models: the 135i Coupé, 135i Cabrio, 335i saloon, 335i Touring, 335i Coupé and 335i Convertible. Improves performance on the 335i Saloon 0.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h sprint, coming in at 5.4 seconds. Mid-range acceleration, 80-120 km / h, is half a second faster with the kit.
Besides some software tuning for better management of engine performance Power Kit also an additional heater on the outside of the engine, a fan of high performance on the main radiator, and air flow ducts for help deal with all the extra heat.
Kit's performance of power can also be combined with the BMW 7-speed sports automatic transmission from BMW 335i Coupé and BMW 335i Convertible models.

The 2010 Kia Sorento should reach U.S. showrooms by the end of the year.
While the exterior changes appear to be subtle, under its sheet-metal will be a new unibody architecture instead of the current model’s body-on-frame platform. Expect improved ride comfort and handling but lower towing capacity. The most likely engine options will be the new 2.4L Theta four-cylinder, 2.7L Mu V6 and the 3.3L and 3.8L Lambda V6 units. A 2.5L common-rail turbodiesel will also be available for European markets.
As these latest spy images reveal, the new Sorento will retain the boxy look of the current model but gain a much sharper front-end. As seen in previous spy shots, a new grille with the carmaker’s latest H-pattern design will also feature.
Other new Kia models in the pipeline include the new Soul hatch and Forte sedan, Azera-based VG sedan, a new coupe based on the Forte, next-generation Sportage compact SUV and a new Picanto minicar.
Following the release of a teaser shot earlier today for the upcoming 2010 model year Sorento SUV come new spy shots of a prototype version undergoing cold weather testing in Northern Europe. The latest shots include an image of the new model’s interior but we won’t know for sure what it will look like until a scheduled world debut for the Seoul Auto Show in April.

Although no one will be very important novelty, the fact is that Skoda will try to draw attention to the Geneva Auto Salon in addition to the new Yeti and the Octavia Greenline, with the final version of the Fabia Scout.
Based on the Fabia Combi, the Scout slight aesthetic changes that will affect mainly the contours of the body with gray plastic trim. Besides suspension will be a bit higher and will have roof bars. Despite the name Scout, you will not have traction total and share engines and technology with other conventional Fabias. We had already seen a preview a few months ago when it was officially launched version of the multi-family in Frankfurt, but then it was a prototype (in picture).
Within days we will have more information on engines, equipment and prices.

Buried within the tome that is Chrysler LLC's Viability Plan for the U.S. Treasury Dept. are two pages that may give a sneak peek at upcoming redesigns for the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300.
Both are big players in Chrysler's product lineup and the automaker is claiming its near-term revenue will get a shot in the arm upon their arrival.
Chrysler is telling the feds that its 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee will achieve a 19% increase in fuel economy between the 2010 and 2012 model years, as well as debut with a best-in-class interior.
As for the new 300, Chrysler says it will be redesigned inside and out, featured "unprecedented 'uconnect' connectivity, and be available with an all-new, fuel-efficient V6 in addition to a HEMI V8 with cylinder deactivation.

Lots of cars claim the "race car for the road mantle", but few manage to pull it off with as much authority as the Caparo T1. Bringing all that competition technology to the road isn't easy, though – during one media test drive, the front suspension actually snapped because the journalist riding on that side was heavier than calculated – and the T1 has been in development for years now.
Caparo, the conglomerate that financed the T1's development, apparently feels the supercar is ready and has presented it to the public for the first time at London's Salon Privé at the exclusive Hurlingham Club, where the T1 took center stage.
As part of the debut, Caparo is expected to announce the T1's final specifications, which will include five trim levels, ranging form a bare-bones track car all the way up to the top-of-the-line Race Extreme model, packed with the highest-spec engine, advanced electronics, carbon brakes and lightweight magnesium rims.
